A new chapter of the 2019-20 Creighton men’s basketball season started on Tuesday night. Denzel Mahoney made his long awaited debut 18 seconds into the game, the Bluejays rolled down hill letting it fly, and sent Oklahoma back to Norman with an 83-73 win.
Mahoney entered the game early after Christian Bishop was called for a quick foul, one possession into the game. Mahoney made his mark right away with a drive to the basket on his first touch. While he missed his first shot, he then took his second to nail a three-pointer, and then had another drive to the basket where he was fouled and hit early free throws.
