Nine-run Seventh Inning Propels Softball To Comeback Win Over Weber State, Falls To UIC

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Creighton softball team used a nine-run seventh inning to rally from a six-run deficit against Weber State and scored two in the final frame against Illinois-Chicago before falling by one run in the second day of the Santa Clara Invitational on Saturday.

The Bluejays defeated Weber State 9-6 and dropped a 3-2 contest against Illinois-Chicago.

Creighton is now 4-10 on the season after a 2-2 showing in California.

The Bluejays scored nine runs in the seventh inning to pull off a comeback victory over Weber State during the Jays' first game on Saturday afternoon.
