Morning After: #8 Creighton Gets Big Contributions From Bench in 101-69 Over Truman State

Creighton exerts it’s will inside, outrebounding Truman State 55-29 including 16-3 on the offensive glass, leading to a 23-2 advantage on second-chance points.

Here’s the real key stat, to me: 12 Bluejays played between 11 and 21 minutes. The Jays kept their starters fresh without running them into the ground, and got their reserves extended minutes that would otherwise be hard to come by in the rigors of Big East play.

Standout Performance:

Several Bluejays had big games — Justin Patton had another (Yawn) double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, Marcus Foster scored 21 on 9-11 shooting including 2-3 from three-point range, Mo Watson had 9 points and 6 assists in only 20 minutes.
