The Creighton men's soccer team tallied its first BIG EAST loss as Villanova defeated the Bluejays 1-0 at the Higgins Soccer Complex in Villanova, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.
No. 10 Creighton fell to 8-3-3 overall and 4-1-1 in the BIG EAST, while the Wildcats improved to 8-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 during league play.
Miguel Polley scored Villanova's lone goal during the 21st minute. Polley fired a free kick from outside the left side of the 18-yard box towards the front of the goal where a Creighton defender deflected the ball before it slipped past Alex Kapp.
