The Portland Timbers are coming to Columbus and they will not be coming alone. It appears that over 100 supporters will be making the journey to MAPFRE Stadium from various parts of the country for Saturday’s contest with Columbus Crew SC. Most will be arriving from Portland, but some will be making the journey from locations as far east as New York City.
Timbers Army are the group that fills Providence Park with songs, scarves, flags and confetti. Along with Army are the 107 Independent Supports Trust or IST. Their mission is to support soccer within Portland, Oregon, from grassroot soccer to the professional level.
