Zach Werenski, 19 year old rookie defenseman from the University of Michigan, has been named the NHL’s Rookie of the Month for November.
Werenski registered 3 goals and 7 assists for a total of 10 points during the month. He also tallied a +4 for the month in 22:14 of ice time per game.
Werenski becomes the fourth Blue Jacket to receive the honor, following in the footsteps of Rick Nash, Derick Brassard, and Steve Mason (who won it twice en route to winning the Calder Trophy).
