COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated right wing Rene Bourque off Injured Reserve and placed defenseman David Savard on Injured Reserve retroactive to December 15, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Bourque, 34, has missed the last 12 games after suffering an upper body injury. He has recorded 0-1-1 and 12 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Blue Jackets this season. The Lac La Biche, Alberta native has recorded 148-143-291 and 502 penalty minutes in 626 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Anaheim Ducks, Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames and Chicago Blackhawks.
