Colorado State football aims to clean up tackling issues

FORT COLLINS — No team will make every play.

But when Colorado State defensive coordinator Marty English started counting missed tackles from Saturday's 31-24 loss, he knew he was using too many appendages when he needed his toes. Twice as much as he would have liked, actually.

"Over 20, and that's the disappointing part," said English, who later added about 8-10 would be a normal game. "We were just talking about it. You have a chance to get guys down on the ground and let it be a 6-yard gain instead of a 35-yard gain and that type of stuff.
