Colorado State basketball still thinks it can win the Mountain West with just 7 players

FORT COLLINS — Not long ago the biggest issue facing the Colorado State basketball team was reintroducing their most talented player back into the starting lineup.

It took some time, but Gian Clavell sure seems to have regained his old form. In four games since the start of conference play, the senior guard is averaging 21.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals, while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 51.9 percent from the 3-point line.

After losing their first three games in Clavell's return to the starting lineup (suspension), the Rams have gone 3-1 since, with that lone loss coming on a banked-in 3-pointer at the buzzer at Boise State.
