Rockies lose to Nationals 6-1

The Rockies lost to the Nationals 6-1.

Generously, Eddie Butler had an okay game in the run prevention department. He allowed four runs on eight hits. But in the strikeout and walk department—important drums I keep beating—it was another disappointment, as Butler walked four batters and struck out just two in six innings. In a way, I feel worse about this game than his previous outing, which was a seven run in four inning shellacking. That could be considered anomalously bad. Tonight's start was simply very far from good.

In any event, Butler was no match for Stephen Strasburg, who pitched a gem of a game.
