Rockies lose to Diamondbacks 2-0 in 13 innings

The Rockies lost to the Diamondbacks 2-0 in thirteen innings on Sunday.

Germán Márquez and Patrick Corbin battled it out in Arizona today. Neither starter allowed a run. Márquez allowed six hits in six scoreless innings. He struck out eight batters and walked one (intentionally). Corbin responded with 613 scoreless innings of his own. He only allowed two hits. He walked two batters and struck out six. But that was only half of the game.

The Rockies had a golden opportunity to score in the fifth inning. Mark Reynolds led off the inning with a walk, and Ian Desmond followed it up with a single.
