Rockies agree to terms with local catcher Luke Leisenring

Today, the Rockies announced that they have signed undrafted amateur free agent Luke Leisenring.

Leisenring attended the University of South Carolina Aiken and is a 6-foot-4, 196-pound junior catcher. Like fourth-rounder Case Williams, he is a Colorado product who grew up in Golden and attended Ralston Valley High School in Arvada.

Before his time at USC Aiken, he attended Arizona State University. In 14 games with the Sun Devils, he batted .250 (6-for-24) with six starts. He then transferred to USCA and played two seasons for the Pacers.
