Story is having an incredible rookie season – he is hitting .272, with 27 HRs, 69 RBIs, an OBP of .345 and a slugging percentage of .584. When you throw in his .976 fielding percentage, he is having a great two-way season.
Yesterday Story was honored with the National League Player of the Week award. He hit .478 (four multi-hit games), with six HRs, 12 RBIs, and a slugging percentage of 1.304.
This is Story’s second NL Player of the Week award – he also won it in the first week of the season when he set a new major league record by hitting seven HRs in his first six career games.
