Colorado Rockies Trio Vying for 2016 Gold Glove Honors

Second baseman DJ LeMahieu, third baseman Nolan Arenado and right fielder Carlos Gonzalez were all named as one of three individual finalists at their position. The award originated in 1957, but Rawlings first began highlighting the top three defenders at each position in 2011.

LeMahieu, who won a Gold Glove in 2014, is joined as a finalist by fellow National League West representatives Joe Panik of San Francisco and Jean Segura of Arizona.

Arenado, who has captured three consecutive Gold Gloves, is a finalist along with Washington’s Anthony Rendon and Josh Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
