Colorado Rockies: Reynolds to DL, Germen Designated for Assignment

With Reynolds carrying this hand injury for the last couple of weeks and seemingly aggravating it in yesterday’s win against the Texas Rangers (he left in the seventh inning), it isn’t a shock to see the Colorado Rockies make this move today.

These moves were announced by MLB.com’s Thomas Harding a short while ago:

Ben Paulsen was the most logical move for the Rockies to make, as he already played 29 games at first this season. There had been discussion about moving Carlos Gonzalez to first, but with his sprained ankle still bothering him, this prevents him from starting and he is still slated to come off the bench.
