Captain Earthman is having one last party.
Brent Doeden, the iconic vendor who worked Rockies games from 1993 to 2016, passed away on July 10 from brain tumors at the age of 61.
But his wife Becky Scharfenberg is planning one last blowout bash for Earthman, a “Celebration of Life” to honor one of Coors Field’s most renowned characters.
The party is on August 12 at Taunaz Tavern in Arvada (10480 Ralston Road) from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Scharfenberg set up a GoFundMe to fund the party — something to be thought of as final tips for all the beers delivered down the aisle by Earthman over the years.
