Top prospect David Dahl sustains season-ending injury and other less important news

Dahl should be okay after surgery on his spleen, but his season is over. The Rockies just can't have nice things.

David Dahl--the Rockies top position player prospect--sustained serious injuries after colliding with a teammate while trying to catch a fly ball. Dahl was rushed to the hospital where doctors performed successful surgery on his spleen. The good news is that the surgery was successful; the bad news is that he will miss the rest of the season and may need to wear protective equipment under his uniform for the rest of his career. Yikes.

Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers!
