MLB trade rumors: Rockies OF Carlos Gonzalez unlikely to be traded before deadline

After trading Troy Tulowitzki, it appears the Rockies will hold on to their other veteran star for a while.

The Colorado Rockies will likely hold on to star outfielder Carlos Gonzalez through Friday's 2 p.m. MT trade deadline, according to SB Nation's Chris Cotillo.

The Rockies are reportedly telling teams they'll revisit trading Gonzalez after the non-waiver deadline or even during the offseason, putting to rest any rumors of the team making another blockbuster deal this week. Colorado dealt Troy Tulowitzki to the Toronto Blue Jays late on Monday night in exchange for Jose Reyes and a trio of right-handed pitching prospects.
