The Colorado Rapids U23s conceded in the final moments on Saturday as the PDL Mountain Division leaders FC Tucson grabbed a point in a 2-2 Draw at Kino North Stadium.
The home side opened the scoring in the 41st minute, as Kevin Partida countered off a miss-hit goal kick from Rapids’ Connor Gavigan. Minutes later, Rapid’s striker Andre Shiniyashiki scored the equalizer chasing down a ball beating the FC Tucson defense.
The second half started much like the first with both sides creating an equal amount of opportunities. Josh Goss gave the Rapids the lead in the 75th minute, as he buried the ball in the back of the net by receiving a perfect lay-off pass from Jaret Townsend.
