Nine goals over two games helped the Colorado Rapids U-23s secure six points on the road against Ogden City SC this weekend.
On Friday, the Rapids cruised to a comfortable 6-0 victory with Indiana University product Griffin Dorsey opening the scoring in the 14th minute. Initially the Rapids were called offside and Odgen City regained possession. However, Ogden City’s midfielder misplayed a ball to his defender resulting in a clear one-on-one opportunity between Dorsey and Ogden goalkeeper Joseph Wheelwright. The Rapids midfielder capitalized on the turnover to give the visitors the lead.
Andre Shinyashiki added the second goal of the evening when he converted from the penalty spot in the 44th minute.
