The Colorado Rapids on Tuesday announced they picked up the options for defender Deklan Wynne, forward Niki Jackson, and midfielders Kellyn Acosta and Dillon Serna.
The team declined options on defenders Kip Colvey and Mike da Fornte; forwards Caleb Calvert and Jack McBean; and midfielders Giles Barnes, Enzo Martinez, Ricardo Perez and former Denver Pioneers captain Sam Hamilton.
Colorado also declined the option to purchase defender Edgar Castillo’s contract from C.F. Monterrey, but contract negotiations are still taking place, the club says. In addition, goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra and forward Yannick Boli are out of contract.
