SOELDEN, AUSTRIA – The Colorado Buffaloes ski team was well represented with Magdalena Luczak and Cass Gray both participating in the season-opening World Cup event for the 2021-22 season, both racing in the giant slalom race here Saturday.
Luczak had a strong showing, starting 54th in the first run and posting the 34th fastest first run, moving up some 20 spots. Unfortunately, only the top 30 advance to the second run where World Cup points are on the line. Luczak's time of 1:05.82 was just over six-tenths behind the 30th place skier from the first run, whose time was 1:05.
