BOULDER- Sage Hurta (Indoor Track), Ian Gilmore (Indoor Track), and Sophia Derivan (Tennis) are the CU Athletes of the Week, presented by Arrow.
Hurta broke the Colorado record in the Indoor Women's 800 Meters at the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville Ark., with a blazing time of 2:02.54 on Saturday. The time won her the meet and is the second fastest time for the event in the nation this season. Hurta broke Buffs' legend Dani Jones' record of 2:04.38 set last season.
The race was Hurta's first indoor track meet for the Buffs since February of 2018 after missing time with an injury and a redshirt season.
