This year, the Colorado women's basketball team has just one senior, and the Buffaloes have made it a priority to avoid the same mistake.
Senior Jamee Swan will provide her own measure of leadership, but head coach Linda Lappe wants a variety of voices to be heard this season.
"Leadership is a process and we're expecting our veterans to carry the load, in terms of knowing the expectations, but we also are relying on our young players to start to develop leadership and develop it fast, because they're going to be in the game," Lappe said.
