Senior Jaron Thomas set a personal record on Saturday, one of several impressive performances for the Colorado track and field team at the CU Invite at Potts Field.
CU also swept the top three spots in the men's 1,500 meters, while freshman Sage Hurta won the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase in her first time running the event.
"At this time of the year we're looking for a couple of things," head coach Mark Wetmore said. "We look for people making progress, marks that will help us on a conference level and people hitting marks that will qualify for the NCAA preliminary round.
