Cornerback KJ Trujillo commits to CU Buffs

The Colorado football program has had four defensive backs - including three cornerbacks - selected in the first four rounds of the NFL Draft in the past two years.

As a top-notch cornerback recruit, KJ Trujillo has certainly noticed.

"It's crazy," Trujillo said Wednesday night after giving his verbal commitment to CU for the class of 2019. "As a DB, I can't see why you wouldn't like Colorado. They've been doing a great job. They put a lot of DBs into the league."

A three-star recruit from Orange (Calif.) Lutheran High School, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Trujillo hopes to follow that same path to the NFL, and took a step toward that by choosing CU.
