I’m dedicating the first paragraph of this recap to Evan Battey. This was a true team win for the Buffs and McKinley Wright was so clutch down the stretch, but Battey was effervescent. Evan battled all night amidst foul trouble, dominated the post on offense, and made some beautiful outlet passes. He is truly becoming an impact Pac-12 player.
The first half was The Grapes of Wrath of basketball games. It was slow, unceasing, and mostly fraught with danger and loss. The Colorado Buffaloes and USC Trojans didn’t seem to be in any sort of hurry.
