Tyson Jost makes debut as Avalanche beats Blues in shootout

Tyson Jost didn't have a point and didn't score on his penalty shot attempt in the shootout in his NHL debut Friday night at the Pepsi Center. But he got to be part of a rare Avalanche celebration as Colorado pulled out the 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues. The victory snapped Colorado's latest losing streak at seven and made the Avs 21-53-3 for the season.

Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon beat St. Louis goalie Jake Allen in the shootout, sandwiched around Allen's save on Jost. At the other end, Calvin Pickard stymied all three Blues shooters, and he was the difference in this one, making 27 saves in regulation and overtime.
