Tonight during a lengthy Cleveland Indians rain delay, the cross-town Cleveland Cavaliers dealt Kyrie Irving to the Boston Celtics for a package of players that were decidedly not Kyrie Irving. I don’t know enough about basketball to comment on the trade itself, nor the quality of the return the Cavaliers got. All I know is, thinking about the Indians equivalent of it sucks. And so does this rain delay, so here are some thoughts on it.
Kyrie Irving is a 25-year-old superstar drafted first overall by the Cavs in 2011. Until the first game of the 2017-2018 season, he has played every game in a Cavaliers uniform.
