Cleveland Indians' players coming, going on lower level of free agency

CLEVELAND, Ohio – While the spotlight shines on the big-league free agent market, there are plenty of available free agents on the minor league market as well.

The Indians had several minor league players file for free agency in late October and early November. Here's an update on some of them.

Outfielder Carlos Moncrief has signed a minor league deal with San Francisco. Moncrief hit .261 (52-for-199) with four homers and 27 RBI at Class AA Akron and .187 (31-for-166) with seven homers and 24 RBI at Class AAA Columbus this year.

Moncrief, 27, was the Indians 14th round pick in 2008 and was invited to big league camp for the last two years.
