Cleveland Indians News and Notes: Starting pitching has been terrible in August

Also, the Tigers did not like Mike Everitt's strike zone.

Sometimes mediocre is treated as a bad word. After this week's games, mediocre is looking pretty good. The Indians' two wins this week have come with great pitching performances, while, the four losses this week (with the exception of Bauer's start, which was actually decent considering the circumstances) were awful. Carlos Carrasco made a four-run mistake to Mitch Moreland after a couple of other mistakes prolonged the first inning. The offense couldn't push a run across even with reaching base 9 times (the Rangers reached base 11 times).
