CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Indians have already sold more tickets for this season than they sold for all of last season.

On June 23, the Indians passed the 1,591,867 total of 2016.

It appears they are on track to draw at least 2 million fans for the first time since 2008.

In terms of real numbers, the Indians have drawn 736,615 fans (a 22,030 average) so far this season heading into the weekend.

"It's been very encouraging," said Brian Barren, the Tribe's president of business operations. "We talk about winning off the field, in terms of giving fans a good experience at the park.
