Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall searching for his timing at the plate, in the field

CLEVELAND: Just as the case has often been with Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall, he’s had his down moments and slumps this season but he’s also briefly been the player the team always envisioned.

He’s made a couple of highlight-reel, diving plays at third and shown off his arm strength in the field. But at times, the routine play has given him problems, or a throw to second on a double play hasn’t been placed quite where it should. He’s committed three errors, tied for second on the team behind only Jose Ramirez’s eight.

Chisenhall keeps notes for himself in his locker, about 10 things that he wants always to have in the front of his mind if he’s struggling in the field.
