Indians fall behind Detroit Tigers again, lose 8-6 in series finale

DETROIT: The Indians’ hitters couldn’t keep up with the Detroit Tigers’ hitters in an 8-6 loss Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park.

The loss dropped the Indians to 6-11 overall, 1-5 against the Tigers this season, 3-6 on the current road trip and 1-6 this season against left-handed pitchers.

The Tigers (13-6) scored two runs in the first inning, maintained that lead for much of the day and then broke the game open in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring two more runs in each.

Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera continued his affront against Indians pitching, going 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored.
