How is Carlos Santana's wrist? A 412-foot home run should answer that: Cleveland Indians notes

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Carlos Santana said he couldn't sleep on Tuesday night.

He was plunked below the left wrist in the ninth inning of Tuesday's loss to Texas. Head athletic trainer James Quinlan checked on him on the field and he remained in the game. He had an X-ray immediately following the affair and checked out OK.

Still, the pain in his wrist prevented him from dozing off once he returned home. When he woke up on Wednesday, his wrist was swollen. Francona asked him at about 8 a.m. how he felt. Santana insisted he was healthy enough to play.
