What does kosher mean at the ballpark? Quite a lot (photos, video)

CLEVELAND, Ohio - All season, Phillip Cheron waits on thousands of Indians fans at Progressive Field, the grill before him sizzling with garlic flavors and warming aromas wafting along the third-base side.

It's the only kosher stand in the park, and Cheron is, and must be, an expert in kosher law.

Phillip Cheron is a working mashgiach.

That's Hebrew for supervisor, and it's Cheron's job to ensure every hot dog that is cooked and served at the stand adheres to strict standards.

They call him Rabbi Phil.

Originally from Rockaway in Queens, New York, Cheron came to Cleveland in 1979.
