Tribe's Chris Colabello powers Italy rally: World Baseball Classic roundup for March 10

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Cleveland Indians spring training invitee Chris Colabello delivered a solo home run and a double to help power Italy past Mexico, 10-9 in the opening game of pool play for both teams Thursday at the World Baseball Classic in Zapopan, Mexico.

Italy entered the bottom of the ninth inning trailing 9-5 and facing Toronto reliever Roberto Osuna. Collabello followed Francisco Cervelli's double with a double of his own, and scored on an RBI double by Alex Liddi.

Italy eventually won, 10-9, on a walkoff infield single by John Andreoli.

Colabello homered to right field off Mariners righty Yovani Gallardo to tie the game at 4-4 in the fourth inning.
