Indians Star Prospect Francisco Mejia Leaves Game In Second Inning with Apparent Groin Injury

AKRON, Ohio – Cleveland Indians star prospect Francisco Mejia was pulled from Saturday’s game early, due to an apparent groin injury. Mejia has been the subject of trade rumors in each of the last two seasons.

There was mild panic during the second inning of Saturday night’s home game against the visiting Richmond Flying Squirrels when he was pulled from the game.

To the surprise of everyone, Mejia was pulled from the game out of nowhere in the bottom of the second inning. He was off to a great start, plating an RBI double in the top of the first and then came around to score shortly after on Bobby Bradley fielder’s choice RBI.
