Anderson Strong, but Shaw Implodes in 7-3 Loss

The above picture says so much.

On a sun-drenched, blustery day at US Cellular Field, it was a game marred by shoddy Tribe defense and total bad luck. For about ten minutes, looked like the Indians may be able to steal one away way from Cy Young candidate Chris Sale. Mike Napoli and Yan Gomes had just erased a 2-0 deficit with a two-run and solo shot, respectively. Through it all, the Indians somehow found themselves with momentum and a 3-2 lead against Sale, who was probably wondering just what happened.

Cody Anderson made his first start of this infant 2016 season, and certainly did not hurt his standing in the rotation as his lone mistake (to say nothing of his throwing error in a wonky fourth inning) was to Jose Abreu, who is probably more fearful at this juncture of his ascending career than an aging Miguel Cabrera is now.
