INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue, always a "Laker at heart," believes Los Angeles made the right decision naming Magic Johnson president of basketball operations.
"When you get a Hall of Famer and an all-time great and get a chance to step in and run an organization -- I feel bad for Mitch (Kupchak) and Jim (Buss), and you know, that that had to happen, but I like seeing Magic back involved with the Lakers," Lue said Friday afternoon.
In a stunning move two days prior to the NBA trade deadline, Kupchak was fired after almost 17 years running the Lakers.
