Sasha Kaun Retires From Pro Basketball, Goes Out On Top

Sasha Kaun has retired from professional basketball, according to KUSports.com‘s Gary Bedore.

Kaun, 31, won a NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, his only season in the NBA. He appeared in 25 games, scoring a total of 23 points, grabbing 26 rebounds and swatting five shots.

The Russian native was brought on to the roster as the third center behind fellow Russian Timofey Mozgov. He also had a prior relationship with former Cavs head coach David Blatt, who coached him as a member the Russian national team in 2012.
