Bradley Beal Says Cleveland's Matthew Dellavedova Is The Best Defender He's Played Against

When the Cavaliers were playing down the stretch against the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, many wondered why LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and Anderson Varejao were joined by Matthew Dellavedova on the court instead of starter Dion Waiters.

Twitter took notice, with a lot of comments looking like this:

However, head coach David Blatt knew what he was doing. Cleveland has struggled on defense through their first two games of the season, and Dellavedova is the Cavs' best perimeter defender not named LeBron James.

Just ask Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, who gave the Saint Mary's product a glowing review in when asked who the toughest defender in the NBA was during a recent interview with SLAM.

Dellavedova from Cleveland is a great defender. He’s a pest, he annoys you. I give credit where it’s due, man, ’cause he’s definitely one of the toughest that I’ve been against.

While many may not agree with Beal, Cavs fans can take solace in knowing they have someone who really frustrates a key player on one of the other top teams in the Eastern Conference.
