University of Akron Athletic Director Larry Williams, a former offensive lineman for the Browns, will be the guest speaker at a meeting of the Akron Browns Backers at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Barley House on Main Street.
Williams played five seasons with the Browns (1986-88), New Orleans Saints (1991) and New England Patriots (1992).
Williams was drafted by the Browns in the 10th round of the 1985 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame.
He was the athletic director at Marquette in 2012 and 2013.
