Columbus Partnership President and CEO Alex Fischer said his group will remove a request for $5 million in state funding to help build a facility the Browns would use upon moving training camp from Berea to Columbus.

The Browns will hold training camp at their headquarters in Berea this year but remain in negotiations to move the summertime camp to Columbus in the future. The team has held training camp in Berea since 1992.

Fischer made it known the request for $5 million would be pulled in an opinion piece he wrote for the Columbus Dispatch.
