The Browns signed Jahwan Edwards on Saturday.
Edwards, a 5-foot-9, 220-pound running back from Ball State, entered the NFL last year as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers. He spent time last season on the practice squads of the Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins waived him May 2.
Edwards finished his career at Ball State as their all-time leader in career rushing yards (4,558) and touchdowns (51).
