The Cleveland Browns started to splash some of their copious amounts of cap space on Thursday by inking long snapper Charley Hughlett to a new deal.

What? You thought it was going to be wide receiver Terrelle Pryor inking a new contract with the team? That will have to wait at least for a couple of more days.

While the Browns confirmed the signing on their website they did not release details, although Hughlett’s agent, Brett Tessler, Tweeted that the deal is for six years and will make Hughlett the highest paid long snapper in the league:

Charley Hughlett just signed a new 6-year deal w/the Cleveland Browns that will make him the highest-paid snapper in the NFL.
