The Browns on Friday were rewarded four compensatory picks for the 2017 NFL Draft, elevating their total number of selections into double digits for the third consecutive year.
Cleveland received an additional selection in the third round (39th, 103rd overall), two in the fourth (33rd, 139th and 36th, 142nd) and one in the fifth (38th, 183rd). The third-round selection and one of the fourth-round picks are owned by other teams, though, because of previous trades. The Patriots hold the third-round compensatory pick per the terms of last year’s deal that sent Pro Bowl linebacker Jamie Collins Sr.
