Browns place QB Connor Shaw, OT Michael Bowie on season-ending IR, make other moves

The Browns placed third-string quarterback Connor Shaw (right thumb) and backup offensive right tackle Michael Bowie (shoulder) on season-ending injured reserve.

The team also put rookie cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (knee), rookie tight end Randall Telfer (foot) and backup running back Glenn Winston (knee) on the reserve/non-football injury list.

The moves were made Tuesday because all NFL teams must trim their rosters to 75 players before 4 p.m. The Browns reduced their roster to 79 players with the aforementioned transactions. A league source said the organization has also cut third-string nose tackle Ishmaa'ily Kitchen.

Ekpre-Olomu, a seventh-round draft pick, Telfer, a sixth-round selection, and Winston will be eligible to return to practice anytime between Weeks 6-11.
