Browns Bring Back QB Pat Devlin

BEREA, OHIO – The Browns today brought back QB Pat Devlin, giving themselves even more insurance with the chance that Johnny Manziel won’t be ready for Sunday against the Steelers.

The team waived LB Jayson DiManche to make room for Devlin.

Devlin is 6-3, 220-pounds and officially in his third NFL season out of Delaware. Earlier this year, he signed with the Browns on Aug. 27 and appeared in the preseason finale. He completed all three of his passes for 19 yards before being waived during final roster cuts.

Originally signed by Miami as an undrafted free agent in 2011, Devlin has spent time during the regular season with the Dolphins (2011-13) and Vikings (2014).
