Talented in-state QB discusses Clemson interest

Summerville (S.C.) 2019 quarterback Johnathan Bennett has several early offers and is gaining interest from Power Five programs after showing well on the camp circuit this summer.

Earlier this month, he competed at the full three-day session of the Dabo Swinney Camp.

“It was great,” Bennett told TCI. “I feel like I got better over the three-day span, and it was really good to get in front of the coaches.”

Bennett (6-1, 190) will be a junior in the fall and three-year starter. As a sophomore last season, he completed 113 of 208 passes (54.3 percent) for 1,545 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for 823 yards and nine scores.
